ORIGIN OF CAKES

Modern day cakes as we enjoyed today originated from the Ancient Egyptians. They were naturally great bakers producing large scale breads and cakes on hot stones. They used natural yeast to produce the cakes and flat breads.

The modern day of whipping eggs for cakes started in somewhere the 18^th Century. Formerly baking soda was used and later baking powder was discovered.

Modern day technology has provided us with other sweeteners and ingredients for producing cakes amidst devices with regulated temperatures for delicious cakes.
